Cucumber and Pea Pasta Salad

(For the most part, this is from a Taste of Home recipe..but of course a few adaptations have jumped into the bowl.)
8 ounces uncooked medium shell pasta
8 oz package frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cucumber, halved and sliced (peel if desired)
1 small yellow squash, sliced
1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
black pepper to taste
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. Drain again.
In a large bowl, combine the cucumber, squash, peas, and onion. Add the ranch dressing and a bit of black pepper. Mix well.
Add the pasta, and toss to coat.
Cover and chill for a couple hours before serving.
Whew, we’re done. Thank goodness, it’s hot in here!
