Spider Web Bean Dip

I found the idea for this one over at Divine Dinner Party. It screams halloween!
Of course I changed a few details. One, i didn’t have guacamole. No problem! It turned out great with a little imagination, and orange colored sour cream.
What you will need:

2 – 16 oz cans refried beans
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 -4oz.  can diced green chilies, drained, but not rinsed
2 cups salsa (I made my own)
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cups mayonnaise
shredded lettuce, tomato,  cheese
Orange and Black food coloring

Put the refried beans in a bowl, and add the green chilies. Mix thoroughly, and spread on a serving platter. (I actually cut these up really tiny, so there wouldn’t be any chunks)

Spread the salsa over the beans.

Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning in a small bowl.  Take out about a 1/2 cup and reserve.
Add orange food coloring to your desired shade. To the half cup reserved, add black food coloring. Mix thoroughly.
Spread the orange sour cream mixture across the salsa.

Fill a small zip-loc type bag with the black sour cream. Cut small corner off the tip. Squeeze the sour cream on top of the orange sour cream in several concentric circles. Using a knife, or in my case the back end of a spatula, run lines through the sour cream to make a web shape.

Sprinkle shredded lettuce, tomato and cheese around the edges, and your ready to wow your guests and goblins!
